Heat exchangers for biogas plants

Heat exchangers play a central role in biogas plants by increasing energy efficiency and reducing operating costs. They enable optimum use of the heat generated, reduce heat losses and improve process stability. Particularly in the fermentation of biomass and the processing of fermentation residues, targeted heat management ensures higher yields and more sustainable use of resources.

Biogastechnik Süd offers specially developed heat exchangers for biogas plants: plate heat exchangers and substrate heat exchangers. These are used in our Optiheat, Heatogant and Heatcrack systems, which cover different heat management requirements.

Our heat exchangers impress with their high efficiency, long service life and minimal maintenance requirements. They are suitable for various media such as fermentation substrates, fermentation residues, liquid manure and process water. Thanks to robust materials and optimized design, they guarantee reliable heat transfer – even under demanding conditions.

Optiheat
Efficient heat transfer for fermentation substrates

The Optiheat heat exchanger ensures precise and efficient heating or cooling of fermentation substrates. Its compact design and high heat transfer rate make it ideal for biogas plants.

Heatcrack
Heat exchanger for thermal hydrolysis

The Heatcrack uses targeted heat input to break down biomass and increase the gas yield. As a result, material that is difficult to break down is efficiently utilized and economic efficiency is improved.

Heatogant
Substrate heating for maximum gas production

With the Heatogant substrate heat exchanger, the temperature in the fermenter is kept constant to ensure optimum biogas production. The robust design enables long-lasting and low-maintenance use.
